Can anyone tell me if solar powered lights are worth buying, are the super bright ones bright enough to light up my patio area or would i be wasting my money. i know they are good for the environment but i need something thats going to do the job at the same time. any advice please.

they are ok for marker lights [similar to cats eyes] but dont expect to do any reading by them!
The cheap ones only work if there has been a day of reasonable sunlight, the more expensive ones will charge with just daylight, the time that they last depends of on how bright the day has been, the working period during the winter months can vary widely, the amount of light given out depends on the number of LED’s, the single ones are purely path marker lights.
I haven’t tried the new ones with remote solar panels, I’m thinking about trying one out.
i like solar lights in my garden for the simple reason they give off a gentle soothing light, you can pay a lot of money for them but they won’t give you as bright a light as i suspect you are wanting, it would be an awful shame to pay out a lot of money to find you are going to be dissapointed at the end result, ‘shop with caution.
Don’t get the cheap ones, they tend to not last very long. You should look around spending about £25 for 6. Those are the ones that are better. They are good and they do work! Although in the winter when we do get less daylight (it does not have to besunny, just light) they don’t last as long because they don’t get as much charge as in the summer.
i have them down my path and ones that change colure in my pond they are really nice as background.but not for say reading or anything major.i got mine from taskers 3 years ago stainless steal i switch them off and clean them put in shed. in the summer i bring them out let them charge for a day then switch back on.
We have solar lights in our garden very nice, they have been working now for about 4 years, although they cast a dull glow light they give off enough to see borders and path, however dont expect too bright a glow from any solar powered lights.
Well I have found that they are very dim and if you expect them to do the job of say a 20 watt bulb then no they would be a waste of time.
Yes there very good but remember you only get what you pay for (do not buy cheap)
Don`t buy the cheap ones they are crap
regret they are basically rubbish
No.They look nice but give no real light.
hey they are out of this world man.
