Wind energy needs to be received by a large number of people if it were to be useful. Adding onto this, transporting this type of energy may not be that easy. Wind resource development may be a contest for other uses of land. Instead of apportioning the land for wind energy it can be used for generate something more crucial to the nation.
There is a particular level of pollution from wind energy plants although it is just a fraction when compared to other energy generation methods. The noise that s produced by the rotor blades can create aesthetic optical impacts and sometimes birds get killed by flying into these rotor blades. Wind farms take up a lot of space in order to be setup, in states where space is limited this is not favorable. Wind energy requires external power source or an additional rotor so that it can start to work. These are the few disadvantages of wind energy which could affect its consumption.
